Travel
Next year you can use the Guest Mobility Ticket Salzburg (valid from the day of arrival to the day of departure) for all public transfers in the region of Salzburg, including long distance trains (ÖBB and Westbahn), local trains, and public busses. This means that you need only a train ticket to Salzburg when you come via Munich, Linz or Vienna. The train to Bad Hofgastein and the public bus to the centre is free. Also the transfer from Salzburg airport to Bad Hofgastein is free. From the south you still can use the local bus. From the west you can use the card from Saalfelden to Bad Hofgastein und from east from Radstatt to Bad Hofgastein. More information can be found here. Travel planer
There are a only direct trains to Bad Hofgastein from Villach and Salzburg. Some long distance trains only stop in Bad Gastein. Additional connections with little change are indicated in green. Please do not hesitate to contact the local organizer if you have any questions. Note: There are no local trains between Scharzach/St. Veit and Spittal/Drau.
Some train connections only reach Bad Hofgastein very late and are best used for the arrival on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026. There are some trains from Germany to Bad Gastein (direction Graz) that do not stop in Bad Hofgastein. You can use them and return with Bus 550 or change the train in Salzburg.
